This policy explains how Nature Happy (Pty) Ltd collects and uses your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We are the responsible party for your information.

• When you order: your name, email, mobile number, delivery address and order history. Card details go straight to our payment provider; we never see or store them.
• When you sign up for emails: your email address and when you agreed.
• When you contact us: what you send us.
• When you browse: basic device and usage information, and only with your consent for analytics cookies.

• To process, deliver and support your orders. We need this to fulfil our contract with you.
• To send the newsletter and occasional offers, only if you opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To keep records the law requires, such as tax invoices.
• To understand how the site is used, if you accept analytics cookies.

We never sell your information.

Only the service providers who help us run the shop, and only what they need. Each is bound by a written agreement to keep it secure:

• Our payment provider, to take payment.
• Our couriers and pickup networks (for example The Courier Guy, Pargo and PUDO), to deliver your order.
• Our email and ecommerce platforms, to run the site and send emails.

Some of these providers store data outside South Africa. When that happens, we make sure the information is protected to a standard at least equal to POPIA.

• Order and invoice records: 5 years, as tax law requires.
• Email sign-ups: until you unsubscribe.
• Messages to us: up to 2 years, unless they relate to an order.

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls and regular reviews. If we ever suffer a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the Information Regulator.

Necessary cookies keep the site working, for example remembering what is in your cart. Analytics cookies help us see which pages are useful; we only set them if you choose “Accept all”.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Email privacy@naturehappy.co.za and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

Our site is not aimed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
